Food is my love language. ❤️ I am sharing this easy and delicious CAJUN SHRIMP PASTA ALFREDO recipe for my boys.

Ingredients (13)

Instructions

  1. Season shrimp (1 lb) with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (1 Tbsp) and white pepper (½ tsp). Massage with hand and set aside.

  2. Heat a sauté pan over medium high heat. Add Olive oil (1 Tbsp) and cook shrimp (1 lb) for 2 minutes on both sides. Set aside on a plate.

  3. In the same pan, reduced heat down to medium and added butter (1 Tbsp), garlic ( to taste), and onions ( to taste) and sauté for a few minutes until fragrant.

  4. Add chicken broth (1 cup), heavy cream (1 cup), 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (1 tsp), and Parmesan cheese (½–1 cup). Stir and scrape the bottom of the pan and get the bits of flavors off the pan. Keep stirring until cheese melts.

  5. Add cooked pasta (1 ½ lb). Turn off the heat and stir until pasta is fully coated in the sauce. Let it sit in the stove uncovered for a few minutes. The sauce will thicken on its own.

  6. Serve on a plate and top with the cooked Cajun shrimp and green onions ( to taste) (optional)

Notes

  • I didn’t add salt because there’s salt in the Cajun seasoning, and the parmesan cheese is already salty.
  • I added chicken broth to make the sauce light. I find using just heavy cream to be too heavy and thick
  • Green onions are optional, but I prefer it over parsley.
