Have you tried FRIED CHICKEN FILIPINO-STYLE? 🇵🇭 Marinated in fish sauce, garlic, and citrus, then dredged in seasoned flour and fried until golden brown and crispy. Dip in homemade chicken gravy and eat with steamed white rice. Heaven!!! 😋

Instructions

  1. In a large container, add chicken (8 pieces), fish sauce (2 Tbsp), garlic (5 cloves), lemon juice (1 whole), and black pepper (½ tsp). Massage until chicken is fully coated and let it marinate for at least 1 hour and no more than 4 hours.

  2. In a wide container, combine all-purpose flour (1 cup), cornstarch (½ cup), salt (½ tsp), black pepper (½ tsp), garlic powder (1 tsp), and paprika (1 tsp). Wisk.

  3. Heat 3 inches of vegetable oil in a frying pan to 350°F.

  4. While waiting for oil to heat, dredge the chicken really well in flour breading. Make sure to pack it in.

  5. Fry 3 pieces of the same cut of chicken at a time. Skin side down for chicken thighs. Turn over once and cook for 14-16 mins until internal temp reaches 165°F.

  6. Drain on a wire rack or strainer.

  7. Serve with chicken gravy and white rice. Enjoy!
