Make this PORK BBQ ON A STICK for game day or fight night! Pork marinated in a sweet, savory, and tangy sauce and grilled over hot charcoal, absolutely delicious!!! I cooked it over a nonstick grill pan, and it still came out really good.

Ingredients (9)

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce (½ cup), brown sugar ( cup), garlic (7 cloves), black pepper (½ tsp), calamansi juice (2 Tbsp), lemon-lime soda (½ cup), and banana ketchup (½ cup) in a large container with lid. Whisk until combined. Save a little of the sauce for basting.

  2. Add thinly sliced pork (1 ½ lb) and massage the meat until fully combined in the marinade. Cover and let it sit in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  3. Skewer 4 pieces of meat in a pre-soaked bamboo skewer.

  4. Preheat your grill to medium high heat. I used a non-stick grill pan.

  5. Grill for 2 minutes.

  6. Flip it over and baste with the sauce, and cook for another 2 minutes ot until meat is cooked through.

Notes

  • Wait until the meat it cooked on the grill before basting with the sauce to prevent the sugar from the sauce from burning too much.
