Make this PORK BBQ ON A STICK for game day or fight night! Pork marinated in a sweet, savory, and tangy sauce and grilled over hot charcoal, absolutely delicious!!! I cooked it over a nonstick grill pan, and it still came out really good.
Prepare the marinade. In a large bowl or container with a lid, combine soy sauce (½ cup), brown sugar (⅓ cup), garlic (7 cloves), black pepper (½ tsp), calamansi juice (2 Tbsp), lemon-lime soda (½ cup), and banana ketchup (½ cup), and whisk until sugar dissolves. Save 1/4 cup of the sauce for basting.
Add thinly sliced pork (1 ½ lb) and massage the meat until fully coated in the marinade. Cover and let it sit in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Skewer 4 pieces of meat in a pre-soaked bamboo skewer.
Preheat your grill to medium high heat. I used a non-stick grill pan.
Grill for 2-3 minutes on one side.
Flip it over cook for 2-3 minutes or until meat is cooked through. Baste with the sauce and cook for another minute.
